March Favorites

Its that time again! After another month, I have some awesome new products to share!

MARCH FAVS NO BORDERS

March brought me products that moved into HG status! Lets get started!

lactic acid
The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10%

You can’t have a good makeup look if you haven’t prepped your skin properly. In order to keep my dehydrated, flaky skin at bay, I find that I have to keep my face exfoliated. I don’t always want to use a physical exfoliant so I have recently started to dabble in a chemical exfoliants. This one from The Ordinary is not only effective but very affordable. It makes my skin baby soft and oh so smooth!

PRIMERS
BECCA First Light Primer and The Ordinary High-Spreadability Fluid Primer

I find that I can’t start my makeup without first putting on a primer! These have been basically the only ones that I have used recently. First up is BECCA First Light primer. I was surprised that I would like this so much. It is a purple color that is supposed to help bring radiance to the face. I don’t know if it does but what I can say is that it makes my makeup apply like a DREAM! It helps to moisturize and plump my skin so that my foundation applies so smoothly. It some how even helps to fill in my pores. I don’t think that it claims to do that but if you are looking for a perfecting primer, this one is great!

Now, if you can’t afford or want to spend the money on BECCA, my next favorite is from The Ordinary. Their High-Spreadability Fluid Primer is AH-MAZING! It helps to create the same great smooth surface and it is a fraction of the cost. HIGH RECOMMEND!

base
Milani Conceal + Perfect and RT Complexion Sponge

The foundation that I have been loving recently is the Milani Conceal + Perfect. I am full coverage kind of gal on a daily basis and this one fits the bill. I can get great coverage with just one layer and it lasts all day. Having oily skin makes it a challenge to keep foundation on all day but I find that this one can withstand my oil without breaking down.  and BONUS: its only $10.

To apply this glorious foundation, I have been using a Real Technique mini Miracle Complexion sponge. I find that it is perfect for applying foundation. It is a lot softer than the full size one and I don’t have wet it. I love being able to save that step in the morning! Anything to save a minute. 😉

NARS Hot Sand
NARS Hot Sand

We are almost done! Just two more products left! I think one of the best highlighters I have recently used is NARS Hot Sand. It was a limited edition release that they have recently made permanent! THANK YOU NARS! When I first got this in the mail and switched it for the first time, I thought “I just spent $30 bucks on this crap?”. But don’t be fooled. This is one of this products that doesn’t show its glory until you put it on your face! It is almost hard to describe the color. Its like a beige-y glow! Its the perfect level highlight- not to little, not too much. You definitely should get this right away!

lash princess
Essence Lash Princess Mascara

Last but not least, Essence Lash Princess mascara. If you like having long, volumized lashes then you need this mascara. I find that it achieves the perfect balance between creating length and full lashes. Plus, its a bargain at $4.99!

We made it through! What was everyone loving this past month? I would love to know!
